Morning Meeting

Remote Learning

  • Lessons are created by our teachers and follow the curriculum that students would be receiving were they in school
  • Students follow a timetable, with learning each day designed to take a minimum of 5 hours to complete
  • Our teachers use a variety of platforms to share pre-recorded lessons which include video input and tasks. Students are able to work through the lessons at a pace and time that best suits them.
  • All of our lessons include tasks completed via Microsoft Forms. This enables our teachers to see the work the students have completed, how long it has taken and identify successes and next steps to inform their planning.
  • For each subject, a teacher is identified as a point of contact (the subject contact may differ for each year group). Students should email that contact if they have any questions about the work by clicking on the link in the timetable.
  • Staff are making weekly phone calls to families and students. Staff will be talking to students about their remote learning as part of those phone calls
  • For more information on the research-informed trust approach to remote learning click here
  • If you have any questions or comments about our remote learning provision, please contact Mr Gilbert, Vice Principal (jgilbert@dixonstc.com)
