After previously working as a class teacher in an SEN Specialist School in the local area, Alex Swaby joined the Dixons team in August 2017.
Following her degree in Psychology at Northumbria University, Alex went on to gain a place on the competitive Teach First programme. This led to a new adventure in Northampton where Alex juggled her job as a Year 1 teacher while gaining her PGCE and studying for her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Warwick.
Originally from Leeds, Alex decided to head back up north in 2016 where she broadened her teaching experience by working in a local SEN Specialist school. During this time, Alex discovered her passion for ensuring that every child fulfils their true potential; this drove her to apply for the role of Inclusion Lead at Dixons Trinity Chapeltown. Here she hopes she will motivate and challenge every pupil to reach their goals and achieve their aspirations.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys running 10Ks around Yorkshire and walking her whippet, Oswald!
