In-Year applications

The Academy opened in September 2017 with a single Reception class. The primary phase now has Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 and the secondary phase has Years 7, 8 and 9. We currently have space in Year 2 - here is what you need to do to apply:

Where can I apply?

Visit the local authority applications portal and login (or register if you don't already have an account). If you are applying for a Year 2 place and you make Dixons Trinity Chapeltown your first choice, there is a strong possibility you will be offered a place.

Alternatively, you can complete the In-year common preference form (ICPF) which is available from the Downloads section below, and return it to the Academy.

Reception and Year 7 intakes in September 2021

Year 7

The national offer date for school places is Monday 1 March 2021. Parents who completed the local authorities Common Application/Preference Form will be advised by the local authorities of the school allocated to their child on this date via either e-mail or letter.

Places were filled in line with the oversubscription criteria outlined in our Admissions & Appeals Policy (available in the Downloads section below). Please note that this Policy relates only to the admission year stated on the document and is subject to change in future years.

Parents who are interested in being added to the waiting list for a Year 7 place should complete and return the local authorities Waiting List form at the website address https://www.leeds.gov.uk/schoo... to join the waiting list.

Reception

Applications to the Academy should be made via the local authority/council CPF (Common Preference Form). You will need to name the Academy as one of your school preferences on that form.

Places will be filled in line with the oversubscription criteria outlined in our Admissions and Appeals Policy (see Downloads section below). If you are applying for a place under the:

  • Previously looked-after child criteria, you will also need to complete the Priority 1a Supplementary Form (available in the Downloads section below) and submit this and the supporting evidence, to the local authority with the Common Preference Form.
  • Exceptional medical or social need, you will also need to complete the Priority 1b Supplementary Form (available in the Downloads section below) and submit this and the supporting evidence, directly to the Academy. This is required in addition to submission of the Common Preference Form.
  • Children of staff criteria, you will also need to send a letter or e-mail to the Governing Body of the Academy, sent via the Admissions Officer, stating the name, post, and length of service of the member of staff and the child’s name and date of birth. This is required in addition to submission of the Common Preference Form.
