Year 7 and Reception applications for September 2022

​Applications to the Academy should be made via the local authority/council CPF (Common Preference Form). You will need to name the Academy as one of your school preferences on that form.

Places will be filled in line with the oversubscription criteria outlined in our Admissions and Appeals Policy (see Downloads section below).​ If you are applying for a place under the:

  • Previously looked-after child criteria, you will also need to complete the Priority 1a Supplementary Form (available in the Downloads section below) and submit this and the supporting evidence, to the local authority with the Common Preference Form.
  • Exceptional medical or social need, you will also need to complete the Priority 1b Supplementary Form (available in the Downloads section below) and submit this and the supporting evidence, directly to the Academy. This is required in addition to submission of the Common Preference Form.
  • Children of staff criteria, you will also need to send a letter or e-mail to the Governing Body of the Academy, sent via the Admissions Officer, stating the name, post, and length of service of the member of staff and the child’s name and date of birth.​ This is required in addition to submission of the Common Preference Form.

In-year applications

The Academy opened in September 2017 with a single Reception class. The primary phase now has Reception, Years 1, 2 (spaces available), 3 and 4 and the secondary phase has Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

To go on the waiting list for any of these year groups please follow the information below.

Where can I apply?

Visit the local authority website and login into the parent portal (or register if you don't already have an account). If you are applying for a Year 2 place and you make Dixons Trinity Chapeltown your first choice, there is a strong possibility you will be offered a place.
