What will happen on transition day?

On Wednesday 2 July we will be welcoming our new Year 7 students to the secondary phase at Dixons Trinity Chapeltown for our transition day. Students will develop their understanding of our academy mission, see the day-to-day running of the school, experience a selection of lessons and have the opportunity to meet many of their new teachers. We know that the transition to secondary school can be daunting, and we hope that this day will support our new students to have an enjoyable and successful start when they join us in Year 7.

Students will be expected to arrive in their primary school uniform at 9:00am and sign in at the dining hall. Your child will need to be collected at 3:00pm. Students should not bring a bag but must bring a reading book with them. Break time snacks and lunch will be provided. Please let us know via the email address above if there are any dietary requirements that we need to be aware of ahead of the transition day.
