Coming together as one community: join us for iftar!
Posted 23rd February 2026
At Dixon Trinity Chapeltown, we are proud to serve a richly diverse and vibrant community. Ramadan offers a powerful opportunity for reflection, gratitude and togetherness: values that sit firmly at the heart of who we are as a school.
This sacred month is observed by many within our community as a time of fasting, prayer and spiritual renewal. It is also a time that strengthens empathy, generosity and unity. As a school, we recognise the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for our students and families to come together, to deepen understanding and to celebrate the traditions that shape our shared identity.
We are therefore delighted to invite families, students, staff and members of our wider community to join us for our Ramadan iftar event on:
Wednesday 4 March
4:30pm - 6:30pm
Dixons Trinity Chapeltown, Leopold Street, Chapeltown, LS7 4AW.
Iftar (the meal to break the fast at sunset) is more than simply a shared table. It is a moment of pause at the end of a day of discipline and devotion. It is a moment of gratitude. Most importantly, it is a moment of unity.
Gathering together for iftar reflects the very best of our school culture. It strengthens relationships between families and staff. It nurtures belonging among students. It allows us to stand alongside one another in respect and solidarity. In coming together, we model to our young people the importance of compassion, community and service.
At Dixons Trinity Chapeltown, we believe that excellence is achieved not only through academic success, but through character, integrity and contribution. Events like this remind us that we are stronger together when we listen carefully, learn from one another and celebrate the diversity that enriches us all.
Whether you are observing Ramadan or simply wish to share in the experience and support friends and neighbours, you are warmly welcome. We encourage all members of our community to join us for an evening of reflection, conversation and shared experience.
Tickets are available for just £3 via the QR code on the event poster, through MCAS or you can pay with cash at the school reception, with dates, drinks and dinner provided.
We look forward to welcoming you and breaking bread together as one community.
